TIPS FOR CREATING ANIMATIONS

- Download an app for your phone or tablet. We like ‘Stop Motion Studio’. It’s free and easy to use.

- Hold your phone/tablet still. You don’t have to have a tripod. For a phone 2 pegs will do.

- Move the objects slowly. 12 or 15 pictures per second is recommended.

- Keep it simple. Too many characters are hard for kids to animate.

- Try to create a good soundtrack for your animation. People naturally focus on what we can see on screen but a really good animation is as much about the sound as the vision.
