This was Sarah Gavron’s first feature film and it won many awards (including a BAFTA, the jury prize at Toronto Film Festival and an RTS award). Sarah went on to direct Brick Lane and Suffragette (staring Carey Mulligan) amongst other films. This Little Life was broadcast on the BBC in 2003 and played at festivals around the world. It was screened at the DPFC on 20th September 2016 followed by a Q&A by Sarah Gavron, who lives in Dartmouth Park.
